About Triben-XT Cream

Triben-XT Cream is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria enter the body through broken skin. Fungal skin infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection.

Triben-XT Cream contains Terbinafine, Ofloxacin, and Clobetasol. Ofloxacin kills the bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. Clobetasol inhibits the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Terbinafine kills the fungi by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering. Together, Triben-XT Cream helps in treating skin infections.

In some cases, you may experience side effects such as a burning sensation, irritation, and itching at the application site. These side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

What if I have taken an overdose of Triben-XT Cream

An overdose from topical application is rare and not expected to be dangerous, but if you suspect an overdose, or experience any adverse events, or especially if Triben-XT Cream has been ingested, seek medical attention immediately. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Triben-XT Cream if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have/had diabetes, cataracts/glaucoma, adrenal gland disorder, kidney or liver disease. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid wrapping or covering the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor advises. Let the doctor know if you are using any other medicines.

  • Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
