Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection. The detailed uses of Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet are as follows:

• HIV-1 Treatment: Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet is used to treat HIV-1 infection in adults and children and helps reduce viral load and increase CD4+ T-cell counts, slowing disease progression.
• HIV-1 Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet is used to reduce the risk of acquiring HIV-1 in high-risk individuals and approved for adults and adolescents.

Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet belongs to a group of antiretroviral medicines used to treat HIV infection. Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet helps in decreasing the chance of developing AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) and other HIV-related illnesses. Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, whereas Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet works by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus. • Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, or as advised by a doctor.
• It is usually recommended to be taken once a day. However, follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and timing for optimal results.
• Swallow Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Do not take Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have a history of hepatitis B infection, kidney or liver problems; if you are older than 65years. Practise safe sex and take other necessary precautions as Tofocom 200 mg/300 mg Tablet does not prevent the spread of HIV infection. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.
