Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye).   • Corneal Ulcers:Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm is used in combination with other antibiotics to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Gently pull your lower eyelid with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Tobanox 0.3% Eye Ointment 5 gm is for ophthalmic use only.
  • Do not touch the tip of the tube or other dispensing tip to any surface, as this may contaminate the ointment.
  • If the ointment becomes discoloured, it should be discarded.
