Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml is for ophthalmic (eye) use only. Do not use Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml may temporarily blur your vision; therefore, wait until your vision is back to normal before using any machinery or driving.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Gently pull your lower eyelid with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Tobamin Eye Drops 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only.
• Do not touch the tip of the tube or other dispensing tip to any surface, as this may contaminate the ointment.
• If the ointment becomes discoloured, it should be discarded.
