Thiochol-P Tablet is used to reduce and relieve orthopaedic, traumatic, and rheumatologic disorders. It helps relieve muscle spasms (painful muscular contractions) associated with degenerative vertebral disorders, vertebral static problems, dorsal pain, low back pain, and torticollis (neck muscle contractions). It contains Paracetamol and Thiocolchicoside, which works by inhibiting certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation and fever. Also, it acts on the centres of the spinal cord and brain and helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements, thereby relieves pain due to muscle spasms. In some cases, it may cause side effects such as diarrhoea, drowsiness or stomach pain.

About Thiochol-P Tablet

This medicine is commonly prescribed for acute back pain, neck strain, and muscle injuries.

You should take Thiochol-P Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually for a short duration of time. It is best to take this medicine with food to prevent an upset stomach, maintaining consistent timing each day. Along with taking this medicine, gentle stretching and staying hydrated can significantly support your recovery.

While taking Thiochol-P Tablet , some people may experience mild side effects such as sleepiness, stomach discomfort, or diarrhoea. If you notice any serious side effects, like severe skin rashes, yellowing of your eyes or skin, or extreme dizziness, you must contact your doctor immediately.

Before starting Thiochol-P Tablet , let your doctor know if you have a history of liver disease, kidney problems, or seizure disorders. Do not take this if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or a woman of childbearing potential who is not using effective birth control. How Thiochol-P Tablet Works

Thiochol-P Tablet contains paracetamol and thiocolchicoside, which work together to target pain and muscle stiffness simultaneously. The first active component, thiocolchicoside, is a muscle relaxant that works on the brain, spinal cord, and other nerve pathways involved in controlling muscle movement. It acts on GABA and glycine receptors, natural signalling systems that help regulate muscle activity, to reduce painful muscle spasms and stiffness. The second active component, paracetamol, is a widely used pain reliever. Its exact way of working is not fully understood, but it is believed to reduce pain by acting through several pathways in the brain and central nervous system, including lowering the production of prostaglandins, chemicals involved in pain signalling. Together, these two components break the cycle of muscle spasm and pain, providing faster and more comprehensive relief.
