About Tercin Gel 15 gm

Tercin Gel 15 gm is a novel topical antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the skin. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection.

Tercin Gel 15 gm contains Mupirocin and Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil. Together, Mupirocin and Tea tree oil work by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow and multiply, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria.

Tercin Gel 15 gm should only be used if advised by your doctor. Tercin Gel 15 gm should be applied to the affected area with a clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Some common side effects of Tercin Gel 15 gm are burning, itching, redness, stinging and dryness on your skin in the place where Tercin Gel 15 gm is applied. Sensitive allergic reactions (skin hypersensitivity reactions) like rashes, itching, swelling, and shortness of breath can occur in rare cases. Please consult your doctor if an allergic reaction becomes severe.

Tercin Gel 15 gm should be used for skin only, and accidentally, if it gets into your eye, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. The detailed uses of Tercin Gel 15 gm are as follows:<br/>• Treats bacterial skin infections: Tercin Gel 15 gm is effective against impetigo, folliculitis, and secondary infections in wounds or skin ulcers by stopping bacterial protein synthesis, leading to bacterial death.<br/>• Provides mild antifungal action: Tercin Gel 15 gm may also help in managing certain fungal-related skin symptoms due to the presence of Tea Tree Oil.<br/>

Directions for Use

• Recommended to apply 2 or 3 times per day or as advised by your doctor.• Using a cotton swab or gauze pad, apply a small amount of Tercin Gel 15 gm to the affected area as directed by your doctor.• Clean and dry the affected skin area.• Wash your hands before and after applying it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Tercin Gel 15 gm

An overdose of Tercin Gel 15 gm is not expected to be dangerous. Seek emergency medical attention or call the doctor if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medication.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Tercin Gel 15 gm if you are allergic to any component present in it; if you are unsure, check with a healthcare professional. In rare cases, using Tercin Gel 15 gm may lead to possible sensitisation reaction or severe local irritation. If this occurs, treatment should be discontinued, the product should be wiped off, and the doctor should be consulted immediately. Avoid making eye contact. If the eyes are infected, they should be carefully rinsed with water until the cream leftovers are eliminated.

  • Always wash your makeup before sleeping. Never go to bed with makeup on.
  • Spend time on a proper skin care regimen.
  • Avoid intake of too much caffeine (tea, coffee, and chocolate), cheese, and spicy food.
