Sucralcoat Ano Cream is used in the treatment of haemorrhoids (piles). It contains Sucralfate and Lidocaine. Sucralfate forms a coating over the affected area of the skin and promotes fast healing of piles. Lidocaine prevents initiation and conduction of impulses. Hence, it gives an anaesthetic effect and helps decrease the sensation of pain. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as reactions at the application site (burning, itching, redness, and irritation), nausea, vomiting, and allergy. About Sucralcoat Ano Cream

Sucralcoat Ano Cream belongs to the group of medicines known as 'vasoprotective', primarily indicated in the treatment of haemorrhoids (piles). Haemorrhoids, also known as piles, are a medical condition that happens when veins present in the anus and rectum area(the last part of the large intestine that ends up in the anus) get swell and become painful.

Sucralcoat Ano Cream contains two medicines, namely Sucralfate' and 'Lidocaine' (Lignocaine). Sucralfate is an anti-ulcer drug that forms a coating over the affected area of the skin and promotes piles' fast healing. Lidocaine blocks sodium ions' influx (entry) into the membrane that surrounds the nerves, thereby preventing impulses' initiation and conduction. Hence, it gives an anaesthetic effect and helps decrease the sensation of pain.

Use Sucralcoat Ano Cream as prescribed by your doctor. You are suggested to take Sucralcoat Ano Cream as long as your doctor has prescribed it after checking your medical condition.  In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as reactions at the application site (burning, itching, redness, and irritation), nausea, vomiting, and allergy. Vasoactive drugs are commonly used in the treatment of critically ill patients. Vasopressors, such as norepinephrine, are frequently used to improve SVR in patients with septic shock. In contrast, inotropes are frequently used to improve cardiac contractility and CO in patients with cardiogenic shock. Sucralcoat Ano Cream is also a vasoactive medicine.

It is advised to take Sucralcoat Ano Cream in the same dose as suggested by the doctor. Taking Sucralcoat Ano Cream with dietary management and proper bowel habits can provide fast relief during the initial days of haemorrhoids.

Do not abruptly stop taking Sucralcoat Ano Cream as you might feel a headache or problem with vision, fever, or pain in muscles, which are withdrawal symptoms of Sucralcoat Ano Cream. Consult your doctor, and your dose be lowered gradually to avoid any withdrawal symptoms.
