• Avoid scratching: Scratching irritated skin can damage the skin barrier and introduce new bacterial infections. Keep your fingernails short and clean.
• Do not share personal items: To prevent spreading the infection to other parts of your body or to other people, do not share towels, clothing, or hairbrushes.
