SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections. It may also be indicated in eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and nail infections. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria enter the body through broken skin. Fungal skin infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection.

SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT contains Beclomethasone (a steroid), Miconazole (an antifungal), and Neomycin (an antibiotic). Miconazole prevents the formation of a fungal protective covering and stops fungal growth. Beclomethasone inhibits the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and kills bacteria. Together, SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT helps treat skin infections.

In some cases, SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, irritation, and itching at the site of application. What if I have taken an overdose of SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT

Drug Warnings

Do not use SRIDERM 5GM OINTMENT if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have/had acne, rosacea (small, red, pus-filled bumps on the face), perioral dermatitis (inflammation of the skin around the mouth), genital or perianal pruritus, herpes simplex, vaccinia, varicella, kidney or liver disease. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid wrapping or covering the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor.
