Splinc 500mg Capsule belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, bone and joint, skin and soft tissue, furuncles (boils), secondary wound infections, gynecological infections and sepsis (blood poisoning). Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Splinc 500mg Capsule contains Lincomycin which works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thus, Splinc 500mg Capsule destroys bacteria.

Take Splinc 500mg Capsule as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take Splinc 500mg Capsule based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, or ringing in the ear. Most of these side effects of Splinc 500mg Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

The detailed uses of Splinc 500mg Capsule are as follows:<br/>• Bacterial Infections: Splinc 500mg Capsule is used to treat severe bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains of gram-positive bacteria.<br/>• Respiratory Tract Infections: Splinc 500mg Capsule is used to treat respiratory tract infections like bronchitis, pneumonia and lung abscesses.<br/>• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: It is effective against skin infections like boils and infected wounds.<br/>• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Splinc 500mg Capsule is also used for ENT infections, including tonsillitis, sinusitis and otitis media (middle ear infection).<br/>• Alternative for Penicillin Allergic Patients: Splinc 500mg Capsule is used as an alternative for patients allergic to penicillin.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Splinc 500mg Capsule can be taken 1 or 2 hours before or after a meal or as advised by your doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not break, crush or chew it.

Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose of Splinc 500mg Capsule as it can cause serious side effects. Overdose of Splinc 500mg Capsule include gastrointestinal problems and secondary infections. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any of these side effects.
