Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet is mainly used to treat acid indigestion, heartburn, sour stomach, and stomach upset. Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet may also be prescribed to make the blood or urine less acidic in certain conditions. It helps correct the acid-alkaline balance in the body.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet contains sodium bicarbonate, which helps neutralize the stomach's acidic pH. Thereby, Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet helps to provide relief from acidity.

Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as dry mouth, urinating more than usual, and increased thirst. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor if you have any conditions like high blood pressure, kidney, liver or heart disease, or have recently had bleeding in the stomach. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Co-administration of Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet and Dolutegravir reduces the levels of Dolutegravir, resulting in reduced effectiveness.

How to manage the interaction:
Although taking Dolutegravir and Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet together can result in an interaction, they can be taken together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience symptoms like fever, chills, diarrhea, sore throat, muscle aches, red or inflamed skin, and pain or burning during urination, contact your doctor immediately. Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet is an antacid that helps neutralize stomach acid during indigestion and heartburn. Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet may also be prescribed to make the blood or urine less acidic in certain conditions.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet has alkaline pH, which helps in neutralising the acidic pH in the stomach. Thereby, Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet helps to provide relief from acidity and heartburn.

Do not take Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet for longer than two weeks unless prescribed by the doctor. If there is no symptomatic improvement despite using Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet for 1-2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet can be taken with other medicines if prescribed by the doctor. However, you are advised to maintain a gap of 2 hours between Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet and other medicines.

Dry mouth could be a side-effect of Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking, drinking water regularly and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might stimulate saliva and prevent drying of the mouth.

If you have kidney problems, please consult your doctor before taking Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet as it may possibly affect kidney function.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet may cause side effects such as increased thirst, stomach cramps, gas, dry mouth and urinating more than usual. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Store Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet at room temperature. Protect from light. Keep it out of reach of children.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet overdose may lead to hyperventilation (over breathing), twitching, very sensitive to light stimuli and high potassium levels in the blood which may cause dizziness or tiredness. Therefore, if you suspect you have taken overdose of Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet, please seek medical help immediately.

Pregnant women are recommended to consult their doctor before using Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet or any antacid, as it may worsen high blood pressure during pregnancy.

Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet should be used for as long as it is advised by your doctor. However, do not use Sobic DS 1000mg Tablet for more than 2 weeks without consulting a doctor. If acid problems persist or worsen after 2 weeks of self-treatment, seek medical help.
