About Sensiclav Kid Tablet

Sensiclav Kid Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in the body that affect the skin, soft tissues, lungs, ears, urinary tract, and nasal sinuses. It should be mentioned that viral infections like the flu and the common cold are not treated by this medication.

Sensiclav Kid Tablet consists of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. This medicine works by destroying the outer protein layer, thereby killing the bacteria (bactericidal action). As a result, it helps treat infection and reduce the further spread of infection. Sensiclav Kid Tablet does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.

Not everyone who is taking Sensiclav Kid Tablet will get these side effects. The common side effects of Sensiclav Kid Tablet include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea. Everyone may not experience the above side effects. In case of any discomfort, speak with a doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Sensiclav Kid Tablet

Sensiclav Kid Tablet contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thus it kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid works by decreasing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of amoxycillin against the bacteria. Together, Sensiclav Kid Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.

Sensiclav Kid Tablet is known to cause stomach upset, indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea. To avoid these side effects, please take Sensiclav Kid Tablet with a meal. Also, Sensiclav Kid Tablet should be taken at evenly spaced intervals to avoid any unpleasant side effects and for best results.

Generally, the penicillin group of antibiotics is not advised to be taken with methotrexate, which is used for conditions like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. They may cause unpleasant side effects when taken together.
