Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's is used to treat opioid addiction (narcotics) like morphine, heroin, etc. It is also used to treat, prevent and treat moderate to severe pain. Drug addiction, also called substance use disorder, is a disease that affects a person's brain and behaviour and leads to an inability to control the use of a legal or illegal drug or medication.

Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's contains 'Buprenorphine', an opioid partial agonist-antagonists that prevent withdrawal symptoms in patients who stop taking opioid drugs by producing similar effects to these drugs. It has been approved for the treatment of narcotic-use disorders. A combination of buprenorphine and naloxone is prescribed for use in the treatment of opioid dependence. It also provides pain relief by acting on specific receptors in the brain and helps in relieving pain.

Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's should be used as prescribed by your doctor. The dose will be decided based on your medical condition. This medicine may cause certain side effects, in drowsiness, dry mouth, vomiting, blurred vision, constipation, dizziness or tiredness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness.

Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's is used in the treatment of opioid (drug) addiction and pain. The detailed uses of Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's are as follows:

• Pain Relief: Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's is commonly used to alleviate mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, dental pain, or muscle aches.
• Post-surgical Pain Management: Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's can be prescribed after surgical procedures to manage pain and aid in recovery.
• Opioid dependence and addiction: Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's is used in the management of opioid dependence and addiction.

• Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food. However, it is often recommended to take it on an empty stomach for faster absorption. Follow your doctor’s advice if they provide specific instructions regarding food intake.
• Take it exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. It is usually taken once a day, but follow your doctor’s specific recommendations on the timing and dose.
• Place the tablet under your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely. Do not chew, swallow, or break the tablet. The tablet may take several minutes to fully dissolve, and it’s important to let it dissolve naturally for proper absorption.
• While the tablet is dissolving, avoid eating, drinking, or talking, as this may affect how the medication is absorbed.

The Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's contains Buprenorphine as a substitution (replacement) treatment in patients addicted to opioid drugs (heroin, morphine, etc.). It prevents or reduces the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms experienced when addicts stop using opioid drugs. It also provides pain relief by acting on specific receptors in the brain and helps in relieving pain. Compared to other opioid analgesics like methadone, Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's has the advantage of having less sedation (sleepiness), decreased respiratory depression, decreased risk of diversion, fewer withdrawal symptoms and lower risk of toxicity at higher doses.

Please do not stop taking Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's suddenly, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms. Avoid frequent or high doses as it may lead to addiction. If you are known to be allergic to Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.  Do not take Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as it may cause adverse effects on the baby. Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 18 years of age.  Avoid consuming alcohol with Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of side effects. Do not use this medicine if you have used an MAO inhibitor (antidepressants) in the past 14 days, as a dangerous drug interaction could occur. Sangesic 0.2 Tablet 10's should be taken with extreme caution in patients who have a history of alcoholism or drug abuse. Inform your doctor if you have severe breathing problems, asthma, delirium tremens (confusion and shaking after stopping drinking alcohol), hallucinations (seeing and hearing things that are not there), kidney or liver problems, head injury or brain disease, low blood pressure, urinary disorders (especially linked to enlarged prostate), thyroid problems, adrenocortical disorder (Addison’s disease), depression or other conditions that are treated with antidepressants.
