About SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET

SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET belongs to a class of medicines called penicillin antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, skin, stomach, and kidneys, as well as sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea. A bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria enter the body, multiply and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET contains Ampicillin, which works by inhibiting the process of bacterial cell wall synthesis that is required for its survival. Thus, SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET kills bacteria and helps treat bacterial infection. 

SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET should be taken 30 minutes before food or 2 hours after food, on an empty stomach. SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET may cause certain common side effects such as vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects are mild and subside over time. However, if these persist, contact your doctor immediately.

SAM AT 2.5MG TABLET should be avoided if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems.
