Ruv-Cetam Infusion 5 ml is used in the treatment of epilepsy, partial onset seizures (a condition affecting a single area of the brain, mainly the temporal lobes), myoclonic seizures (sudden increase in the muscle tone due to shock-like jerks), and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Epilepsy is a serious condition in which patients get more than two unprovoked seizures (fits/convulsions).

Ruv-Cetam Infusion 5 ml contains levetiracetam, which works by slowing down the abnormal signals in the brain that cause episodes of seizures. It helps by suppressing specific brain sites responsible for abnormal activity and prevents the spread of electrical signals that cause seizures.
