Ristek Injection Combipack belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, nausea, and vomiting. Acidity/acid reflux is characterised by excess acid levels leading to heartburn. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which the person feels an urge to vomit, whereas vomiting is an uncontrollable reflex that expels the contents of the stomach through the mouth.

Ristek Injection Combipack contains Ranitidine (H2 receptor antagonist) and Ondansetron (anti-emetic). Ranitidine works by blocking histamine H2 receptors located on the stomach lining, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion. Ondansetron works by inhibiting the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that triggers nausea and vomiting.

In some cases, Ristek Injection Combipack may cause side effects such as stomach pain, headache, constipation, irritation and redness at the injection site. Avoid foods such as high-fat, spicy chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea and soda.
Avoid sitting continuously, as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5 minutes every hour by brisk walking or stretching.

Avoid solid foods until the vomiting stops.
Avoid foods that might cause stomach upset.
