About Revanex Tablet

Revanex Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called Potassium competitive acid blockers used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers, functional dyspepsia, GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease), and gastritis. The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to acidity-related conditions.

Revanex Tablet contains Revaprazan as an active ingredient, which belongs to Potassium competitive acid blockers/ reversible proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by lowering the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Thereby, it provides relief from acidity-related conditions like gastric and duodenal ulcers, functional dyspepsia, GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease), and gastritis.

In some cases, Revanex Tablet may cause side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, headache, constipation, and runny nose. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any components in Revanex Tablet. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Uses of Revanex Tablet

Revanex Tablet is used in the treatment of Gastric and duodenal ulcers, functional dyspepsia, GERD, and gastritis. The detailed uses of Revanex Tablet are as follows:
• Gastric ulcers: Revanex Tablet is used in the treatment of gastric ulcers by reducing stomach acid secretion. This helps promote healing of the ulcerated lining of the stomach and provides relief from symptoms such as burning pain, bloating, and nausea.
• Duodenal ulcers: Revanex Tablet is used for duodenal ulcers, which occur in the upper portion of the small intestine. By lowering acid levels, it creates a more favorable environment for healing and prevents further damage to the intestinal lining.
• Gastritis: Revanex Tablet is used to manage both acute (sudden onset) and chronic (long-term) inflammation of the stomach lining. It helps relieve symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, indigestion, and loss of appetite by limiting acid irritation.
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Revanex Tablet is effective in treating GERD, a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus. It reduces acid production, easing symptoms like heartburn, chest discomfort, and regurgitation, and also helps prevent potential long-term complications like esophageal ulcers or strictures.
• Functional dyspepsia: Revanex Tablet is used to treat functional dyspepsia, a disorder characterized by upper abdominal discomfort without an identifiable cause. It helps reduce acid-triggered discomfort, bloating, and early satiety (feeling full too soon), thereby improving overall digestive comfort.
