Rabium Plus Capsule is used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (esophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.

Rabium Plus Capsule contains Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for acid production. Itopride works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting.

Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhea. You are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Rabium Plus Capsule for 14 days. Do not take Rabium Plus Capsule for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor.

Diarrhea might be a side-effect of Rabium Plus Capsule . Drink enough fluids and eat fibre-rich food if you experience diarrhea. If you find blood in your stools (tarry stools) or if you experience excess diarrhea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.

Avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while taking Rabium Plus Capsule as it may lead to increased dizziness. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn.

Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.
