R-Caprol 100 Injection 2 ml belongs to the group of medicines called chelating agents used to treat arsenic, gold and mercury poisoning. It is also indicated in the treatment of acute lead poisoning in combination with edetate disodium (EDTA). R-Caprol 100 Injection 2 ml contains Dimercaprol, which works by forming a stable five-membered ring between its sulfhydryl groups and certain heavy metals, thereby neutralising its toxicity and promoting its elimination.
