About Qrovas Gold Capsule

Qrovas Gold Capsule is primarily used to prevent heart attack and stroke, especially in patients after bypass heart surgery. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot blocks the blood flow to the heart. This blockage of arteries is often an accumulation of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).

Qrovas Gold Capsule is composed of three medicines: Aspirin, clopidogrel, and rosuvastatin. Aspirin and clopidogrel together act as a blood-thinning agent (or anti-platelet agent) to prevent heart attack and stroke. They help to prevent blood clots by preventing the clubbing of platelets together. Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of drugs known as a cholesterol-lowering agent, which works by blocking liver enzymes and causing the liver to produce less cholesterol. Rosuvastatin lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the bloodstream. Thus, Qrovas Gold Capsule helps in the free flow of blood without forming any clog in the blood vessel's arteries, thereby preventing a heart attack, stroke and other peripheral vascular diseases.

Take Qrovas Gold Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Qrovas Gold Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. You may experience increased bleeding tendency, indigestion, abdominal pain, nosebleeds, weakness, muscle pain, headache, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal bleeding and nausea. Most of these side effects of Qrovas Gold Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Do not stop taking this medicine of your own. Stopping Qrovas Gold Capsule may worsen your condition and increase the risk of a future heart attack. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Qrovas Gold Capsule or any ingredients of Qrovas Gold Capsule . Qrovas Gold Capsule should not be taken in conditions like kidney/liver diseases, asthma, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes and musculoskeletal disorders. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting Qrovas Gold Capsule . Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness while using Qrovas Gold Capsule . Qrovas Gold Capsule is not recommended for children below the age of 16 years.

Uses of Qrovas Gold Capsule

Qrovas Gold Capsule is used in the prevention of heart attack and stroke. The detailed uses of Qrovas Gold Capsule are as follows:

  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): Qrovas Gold Capsule prevents plaque buildup and clot formation.
  • Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS): Qrovas Gold Capsule reduces risk of heart attack and stroke.
  • Peripheral Artery Disease: Qrovas Gold Capsule improves blood flow and reduces clot risk.

Key Benefits

Qrovas Gold Capsule is used to prevent myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke or peripheral vascular disease. It also lowers abnormally elevated cholesterol or fat levels (dyslipidemia) in the body. Qrovas Gold Capsule is composed of three medicines: Aspirin, clopidogrel, and rosuvastatin. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) and anti-platelet drug that decreases blood clot formation by preventing the platelets from clubbing together. It is also used in heart-related revascularization procedures (provision of new blood supply to a body part), such as coronary artery bypass graft, to improve the blood flow through the revascularized area. Clopidogrel acts by preventing blood clots if you have severe chest pain (unstable angina or heart attack), stroke and peripheral arterial disease (heart problem due to narrow veins). Rosuvastatin is an antilipemic agent (cholesterol-lowering). It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. It also lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Rosuvastatin reduces the risk of coronary events, such as heart attack, stroke and angina (chest pain).

How Qrovas Gold Capsule Works

Qrovas Gold Capsule contains Acetylsalicylic acid, Clopidogrel, and Rosuvastatin. Acetylsalicylic Acid: It is an antiplatelet medicine. Platelets are tiny blood cells that help your blood clot. This medicine reduces the ability of platelets to stick together and form clots. It works differently from anticoagulants such as warfarin, another type of blood-thinning medicine that works in a different way. Clopidogrel: It is an antiplatelet medicine that prevents platelets (tiny blood cells that help your blood clot) from sticking together. Along with acetylsalicylic acid, it provides added protection against harmful blood clots. Rosuvastatin: It is a cholesterol-lowering medicine that works in the liver to reduce cholesterol production. It helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (a type of fat found in your blood), supporting healthier blood vessels.

  • Engage in regular exercise: Aim for moderate-intensity physical activity, such as brisk walking, for at least 150 minutes per week, as cleared by your doctor.
  • Quit smoking: Smoking damages your blood vessels and significantly increases your risk of blood clots and heart disease. Talk to your pharmacist about smoking cessation tools.
  • Limit alcohol intake: Drinking alcohol while taking this medicine increases your risk of stomach bleeding and liver damage. It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol.
