Otocin D Ear Drop 5ml is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear. It contains Polymyxin B, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Polymyxin B works by damaging the bacterial cell membrane. Chloramphenicol kills the bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for survival of the bacteria. Dexamethasone blocks the chemical messengers that cause inflammation. Together, they help in treating bacterial ear infections.

Otocin D Ear Drop 5ml is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the ear. An ear infection occurs when the bacteria affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation. Symptoms include pain or discomfort inside the ear, pus or fluid-like drainage from the ear, feeling of pressure inside the ear, and loss of hearing. Otocin D Ear Drop 5ml does not work against infections caused by fungi and viruses.

Otocin D Ear Drop 5ml contains Polymyxin B, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Polymyxin B works by damaging the bacterial cell membrane. Chloramphenicol kills the bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for survival of the bacteria. Dexamethasone blocks the chemical messengers that cause inflammation. Together, Otocin D Ear Drop 5ml helps in treating bacterial ear infections.

The dosage will depend on the severity of the ear infection and the doctor's instructions.• To use ear drops, lie down or tilt your head so the affected ear is facing up. Gently pull the ear lobe backward and upward (for adults) or downward (for children) to straighten the ear canal. Then, place the prescribed number of drops into the ear and stay in that position for a few minutes to allow the medication to be absorbed properly.• Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to your ear or any other surface to prevent contamination. Do not inject or swallow the ear drops.• Complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve, to ensure the infection is fully treated.
