Otex Suspension is used to treat infections caused by bacteria including pneumonia, gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease), typhoid fever, infectious diarrhoea, and infections of the skin, eye/ear, bone, joint, abdomen, and prostate (male reproductive gland). It contains Ofloxacin, which works by killing bacteria that cause infections and preventing the further spread of the infection. In some cases, you may experience sleep problems, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, itching, external genital itching in women, vaginal inflammation (vaginitis) and taste changes. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions. Do not take this medicine with dairy products as it may lower its efficacy.

About Otex Suspension

Otex Suspension is a prescription medication used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in the body. It belongs to a class of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics, which work by stopping the growth of harmful bacteria. How Otex Suspension Works

The active ingredient in Otex Suspension, ofloxacin, belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and works by targeting essential enzymes inside bacterial cells. It blocks two enzymes known as DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, which bacteria need to copy, repair, and replicate their DNA.
