About Ostium K2 Kit

Ostium K2 Kit belongs to a group of medications called 'bone enhancers', primarily used to prevent and treat postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) and drug-induced osteoporosis. PMOP is a condition in which bones become brittle and weak after menopause (permanent end of periods) due to oestrogen deficiency, leading to increased risk of bone fractures.

Ostium K2 Kit contains a combination of Calcitriol, Elemental Calcium, Elemental Magnesium, Elemental Zinc, Ibandronic Acid, and Vitamin K2-7. Ibandronic Acid is a bone resorption inhibitor that works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts (bone-resorbing cells), thereby reducing bone breakdown.
