• Typhoid or enteric fever: In some settings, ofloxacin may be considered for enteric fever caused by susceptible Salmonella bacteria. Its use depends on local resistance patterns and current treatment guidance, as resistance to fluoroquinolone antibiotics is common in many regions.
• Other susceptible bacterial infections: A doctor may consider ONOFF SUSPENSION for selected serious bacterial infections when testing or clinical assessment indicates that ofloxacin is suitable and other treatment options are limited.

• ONOFF SUSPENSION can be administered with or without food as directed by the doctor.

• Shake well before use.

• Follow individual advice about dairy: Milk, yoghurt, cheese, and other dairy foods do not usually need to be completely avoided during treatment. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if your child's specific product has instructions about taking it with dairy or calcium-fortified foods.
• Protect your child's skin from strong sunlight: Ofloxacin may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight in some children. Consider protective clothing and suitable sun protection when outdoors.

• Measure each dose carefully: Use the oral syringe, measuring spoon, or cup supplied or recommended by your pharmacist rather than a household spoon.
• Follow the prescribed course: Continue giving ONOFF SUSPENSION for the duration prescribed by your child's doctor, even if your child starts to feel better. Speak with the doctor before making changes to the treatment.
• Watch for joint or tendon symptoms: Contact your child's doctor promptly if your child develops new joint or tendon pain, swelling, tenderness, or difficulty walking. The doctor can advise whether treatment needs to be changed.

• Mention other medicines: Tell your child's doctor or pharmacist about any medicines, antacids, vitamins, or mineral supplements your child takes, as some may interact with ofloxacin.
