About Nuflam-TH Insta Gel

Nuflam-TH Insta Gel belongs to the class of medications called analgesics. It is used to treat pain, muscle spasms, and joint stiffness. It helps relieve strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain.

Nuflam-TH Insta Gel contains Thiocolchicoside, Methyl salicylate, menthol and Alcohol. Thiocolchicoside and methyl salicylate help reduce muscle spasms and pain. Menthol is a pain reliever. When applied, it produces a cooling sensation on the skin, followed by warming up. These effects interfere with the pain signal and reduce pain. Alcohol serves mainly as a cooling agent, producing a sensation that can divert attention from pain by widening blood vessels in the application area. It also serves as a carrier to facilitate the better penetration of other active ingredients into the skin, which intensifies their analgesic effects; in other words, it briefly numbs the skin. 

You should use Nuflam-TH Insta Gel precisely as prescribed by the doctor. The common side-effects of Nuflam-TH Insta Gel are a burning sensation, redness, itching, irritation, and numbness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. What if I have taken an overdose of Nuflam-TH Insta Gel

It is advisable to avoid taking more than the indicated dosage, even though an overdose is unlikely because of limited systemic absorption. Get medical help right once if you have any strange symptoms.

Drug Warnings

Nuflam-TH Insta Gel is for use on the skin only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. If the medicine accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse with water thoroughly. Avoid exposure to heat after applying Nuflam-TH Insta Gel as this may increase the risk of side effects. Do not cover the treated area with a dressing unless advised by the doctor. Avoid using sun lamps and tanning beds. Do not use a heating pad immediately after applying the Nuflam-TH Insta Gel. Do not use this medicine before or immediately after the activities such as bathing, exercising, and swimming.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Perform gentle activities like walking or swimming for 20-30 minutes. Physical activity strengthens muscles and relieves joint stiffness.
  • Perform yoga, as it may help in improving joint flexibility and pain management.
  • Maintain a healthy weight by performing regular low-strain exercises and eating healthy food.
  • Get adequate sleep, as resting the muscles can help in reducing inflammation and swelling.
  • Follow heat or cold therapy. Apply a cold or hot compress to the joints for 15-20 minutes regularly.
  • De-stress yourself by meditating, reading books, taking a warm bubble bath or listening to soothing music.
  • Acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy may also be helpful.
  • Eat food rich in antioxidants, such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, dark chocolate, etc.
  • Foods containing flavonoids help in reducing inflammation. These include soy, berries, broccoli, grapes and green tea.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
