Noraxin 200mg Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, prostatitis (prostate inflammation), and gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease). Additionally, Noraxin 200mg Tablet is used to treat infections of the stomach and intestine, such as traveler’s diarrhoea.

Noraxin 200mg Tablet contains norfloxacin, which works by inhibiting the bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase, thereby preventing bacterial DNA replication and leading to the death of the bacteria.

Take Noraxin 200mg Tablet as prescribed. In some cases, Noraxin 200mg Tablet may cause common side effects such as abdominal cramps, nausea, diarrhoea, heartburn, headache, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Take Noraxin 200mg Tablet as prescribed. It can be taken 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water. The dose and duration of medicine will be decided by the physician.

• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Noraxin 200mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) caused by certain bacteria.
• Gastrointestinal Infections: Noraxin 200mg Tablet can be used to treat infections of the stomach and intestine, such as traveller's diarrhoea.
• Prostatitis: Noraxin 200mg Tablet is also indicated for the treatment of prostatitis, an inflammation of the prostate gland often caused by bacterial infection.
• Gynecological Infections: Noraxin 200mg Tablet treats certain bacterial gynecological infections, especially those affecting the lower reproductive system, such as cervical and urethral gonorrhea caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

• Noraxin 200mg Tablet should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
• It is usually taken twice daily or as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow Noraxin 200mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, break, or open it.

• Noraxin 200mg Tablet is associated with an increased risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in all age groups; this risk is higher in patients over 60 years old, those taking corticosteroids, or those who have had kidney, heart, or lung transplants.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you experience tendon pain, swelling, or inflammation while taking Noraxin 200mg Tablet.
• Do not take Noraxin 200mg Tablet if you have myasthenia gravis, as it may cause increased muscle weakness.
