Nicomax 20mg Tablet is used to treat angina pectoris (heart-related chest pain) in adults who cannot take beta-blockers (blood pressure-lowering pills). Angina pectoris is a kind of chest pain due to decreased blood flow to the heart. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease.

Nicomax 20mg Tablet contains Nicorandil, that opens potassium channels present on the muscle cells within the walls of blood vessels and relaxes these muscle cells and widens blood vessels.

Some people may experience headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, weakness, flushing (reddening of the skin) or very fast, forceful or uneven heartbeat. Most of these side effects of Nicomax 20mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Take Nicomax 20mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor with or without food. You are advised to take Nicomax 20mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Do not chew, break, or crush the medicine.

If you are allergic to Nicomax 20mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nicomax 20mg Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not been established. It is advised to drive only if you are alert as Nicomax 20mg Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness. Avoid alcohol consumption with Nicomax 20mg Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure.

• Treatment of Angina Pectoris: Nicomax 20mg Tablet manages angina effectively by reducing chest pain frequency and severity, enhancing exercise capacity, and improving quality of life through potassium channel-mediated vasodilation.

• Nicomax 20mg Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Swallow Nicomax 20mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Nicomax 20mg Tablet contains Nicorandil, a potassium-channel activator used to prevent or treat angina pectoris (chest pain).
• Nicomax 20mg Tablet helps reduce the heart's workload by making it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body and does not require much oxygen.
• Also, Nicomax 20mg Tablet helps to prevent angina by increasing oxygen and blood supply to the heart muscle by widening coronary arteries within the heart.
• Nicomax 20mg Tablet is given to adults who cannot tolerate other heart medicines such as calcium antagonists or beta-blockers. 

• If you are allergic to Nicomax 20mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• Avoid taking Nicomax 20mg Tablet if you have hypotension (severe low blood pressure), low blood volume, pulmonary oedema (accumulation of fluid in the lungs) or any heart problems.
• Do not take Nicomax 20mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and consult a doctor.
• Nicomax 20mg Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established.
• Avoid alcohol consumption with Nicomax 20mg Tablet as it may cause severely low blood pressure.
• Avoid taking vardenafil, sildenafil, tadalafil and riociguat with Nicomax 20mg Tablet as it may affect blood pressure. If you notice in blood in stools while taking Nicomax 20mg Tablet, inform your doctor immediately as it may be due to ulcers in the stomach, intestines or back passage.
