Bacterial eye infections occur when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea. An ear infection occurs when the bacteria affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation.

N-Flox D 10Ml Drops contains Norfloxacin and Dexamethasone. It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria and blocking the production of chemical messengers that cause redness and inflammation. Together, N-Flox D 10Ml Drops helps treat bacterial eye/ear infections.

Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication. • N-Flox D 10Ml Drops is intended for use in the eyes and ears only. • For eye use: Lie down and tilt your head backward. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.• For ear use: Lie down and tilt your head to the side with the affected ear facing upwards. Hold the dropper over the ear and instill the prescribed number of drops into the ear. Keep your head tilted for a minute to allow the drops to soak in.• Do not touch the dropper tip to the eyes, ears, or the surrounding areas to prevent contamination.

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.• Keep N-Flox D 10Ml Drops out of reach and sight of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of N-Flox D 10Ml Drops

For Ear(s): If you accidentally put too much N-Flox D 10Ml Drops in your ear(s) immediately rinse your ear(s) with warm water. If you think that you or someone else has swallowed any, or all, of the contents of N-Flox D 10Ml Drops, or used too many drops, immediately call your doctor for advice or go to your nearest hospital. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. For Eye(s): Due to low expected systemic passage of N-Flox D 10Ml Drops, overdose is not likely. However, the risk of overdose cannot be excluded. In case of overdose, rinse with water or 0.9% normal saline water. Call your doctor or get medical care right away.

Drug Warnings

Do not use N-Flox D 10Ml Drops if you are allergic to any of its contents or if you have viral or fungal eye/ear infections. Inform the doctor if you have glaucoma, high blood pressure, ocular hypertension, diabetes, eye infection or injury, hyperthyroidism, heart, kidney or liver problems, corneal ulcers, tuberculosis, mycosis, or ear drum perforation. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you use other eye/ear medications.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

Eye infections:

Wash your hands regularly. Avoid touching the eyes with dirty hands.
Avoid rubbing the eyes.
Avoid sharing eye makeup such as eyeliner, mascara or kohl.
Always use clean towels or tissues to wipe your eyes and face.
Regularly wash and change the pillowcases.
If you wear contact lenses, clean and replace contact lenses more often. Never share contact lenses. Always wash your hands before inserting and removing the contact lens.
Avoid staring at the digital screens for longer durations. Rest your eyes for every 20 minutes.
Blink regularly as it helps spread hydrating substances such as mucus and tears across the eyes.

Ear infections:

Include fruits, vegetables, high-quality proteins and whole wheat grains in your diet to strengthen the immune system.
Avoid consuming foods you are allergic to, as this can cause the body to produce excess mucus, leading to inflammation.
Avoid getting things like shampoo, soap, and water into the ear, as it can cause itching.
Do not poke or scratch the ear, as it can cause damage to the ear canal, leading to inflammation. The inflamed skin can be infected by bacteria or fungi, which can cause infections in the ear.
Wash your hands often.
Avoid second-hand smoke.
Stay healthy as immunity prevents infections.
