Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for the replication, transcription, and repair of DNA. This enzyme leads to bacterial cell death. Thus, Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml helps relieve and treat symptoms of bacterial eye infections.

It is recommended to complete the course even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic, and stopping it midway may lead to a recurrence of the infection. Continue using Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed to treat your condition effectually.

Avoid contact between the dropper/tube tip and your fingers, eyes, and eyelids while using Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml. Secure the lid of the container immediately after use.

If you use another eye ointment or drops along with Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml, wait at least 5-10 minutes. Also, use eye drops before applying any ointment.

It does not contain steroids. Moxifur 0.5% W/V Ophthalmic Solution 1 ml is an antibiotic from the class of fluoroquinolones.
