Modifloxacin Infusion is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Modifloxacin Infusion does not work against infections caused by a virus.

Modifloxacin Infusion contains Ofloxacin, which works by interfering with bacterial enzymes and DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Modifloxacin Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection. 

Modifloxacin Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Modifloxacin Infusion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please inform your doctor before taking Modifloxacin Infusion. Avoid taking Modifloxacin Infusion and consult a doctor if you are breastfeeding as Modifloxacin Infusion may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Drive only if you are alert, as Modifloxacin Infusion may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or changes in vision. Avoid alcohol consumption with Modifloxacin Infusion as it may cause sleepiness or dizziness.
