Your doctor may prescribe Metopar Syrup for the following condition:

• Migraine headaches with nausea and vomiting: Helps relieve migraine pain while reducing the nausea and vomiting that often accompany an acute migraine attack.
• Other headache conditions: Your doctor may occasionally prescribe this medicine for certain other headache conditions. However, it should not be used for tension headaches or other types of headache unless specifically advised by your doctor.

Metopar Syrup provides relief from two troublesome migraine symptoms with a single medicine, helping you feel more comfortable during an acute migraine attack.

• Relieves migraine pain: Paracetamol helps reduce headache pain by acting mainly within the brain to increase your body's pain threshold. Although its exact way of working is not fully understood, it is effective at relieving pain and reducing fever.
• Controls nausea and vomiting: Metoclopramide helps reduce the urge to vomit and eases nausea associated with migraine attacks.
• Improves medicine absorption: By helping the stomach empty more quickly during a migraine attack, metoclopramide allows paracetamol to be absorbed more efficiently, helping it start working sooner.
• Easy to swallow: The suspension or syrup formulation is suitable for people who find tablets difficult to swallow, particularly during a migraine attack.

• Metopar Syrup can be taken with or without food or as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe provided by the pack.
• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Identify your migraine triggers: Keep a diary to identify possible triggers such as certain foods, missed meals, stress, bright lights, strong smells, or lack of sleep, and try to avoid them where possible.

• Avoid taking extra paracetamol: Do not take any other medicines containing paracetamol while using Metopar Syrup unless your doctor advises you to do so.
• Take care with activities requiring alertness: This medicine may cause drowsiness. Avoid driving, riding a bicycle, or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Avoid alcohol: Drinking alcohol while taking this medicine increases the risk of liver damage and may make you feel more drowsy.
• Watch for unusual movements: Contact your doctor immediately if you notice uncontrolled movements of the face, tongue, mouth, or limbs while taking this medicine.
