Medivor Tablet is used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast. A fungal infection is caused when a fungus invades and affects any part of the body, including the mouth, throat, oesophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area and blood.

Medivor Tablet contains ‘Voriconazole’ that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi, which interferes with the fungal cell membrane's formation.

In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as vomiting, headache, nausea, abnormal liver function tests, rash, slow heart rate, and altered vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Medivor Tablet if you have had an allergic reaction to Medivor Tablet or any of its ingredients. Medivor Tablet is associated with liver toxicity, including fatalities in patients with other serious underlying diseases. Medivor Tablet is a pregnancy category D drug, so it should not be taken by breastfeeding or pregnant women. Antacid should be taken at 2 hours after taking Medivor Tablet.

Medivor Tablet is used to treat fungal infections. The detailed uses of Medivor Tablet are as follows:

• Treat serious fungal infections: Medivor Tablet is primarily used for invasive fungal infections such as aspergillosis, candidemia, and infections caused by Scedosporium apiospermum and Fusarium spp., especially in immunocompromised patients.
• Manage esophageal candidiasis: Medivor Tablet is effective in treating esophageal yeast infections, helping reduce inflammation and discomfort caused by Candida overgrowth.
• Control fluconazole-resistant fungal strains: Medivor Tablet is useful against certain fungal organisms that are resistant to other antifungals like fluconazole, due to its strong inhibition of fungal cell membrane synthesis.

• Medivor Tablet can be taken at least one hour before, or one hour after a meal.
• Generally, Medivor Tablet is taken twice every day for the best results or as advised by a doctor.
• Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Medivor Tablet belongs to the class of medicines known as 'antifungal', containing Voriconazole, used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast.

• If you are suffering from liver disease, the doctor will lower the dose, and a regular liver function test will be done.
• Medivor Tablet is a pregnancy category D drug, so it should not be taken by breastfeeding and pregnant women.
• If you are suffering from a heart problem like an irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate or abnormality in ECG (electrocardiogram), please inform your doctor before starting Medivor Tablet.
• Exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Medivor Tablet as it makes you sensitive to the sun's UV rays, or use a high sun protection factor (SPF) while going out.
• Antacid should be taken at 2 hours after taking Medivor Tablet.
