About Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml

Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus, Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Meditob Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
