About Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's

Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's belongs to the antihistamine class of medicine used to treat motion sickness and vertigo. Vertigo, sometimes known as dizziness, is a feeling of motion or spinning.

Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's contains Meclizine and folic acid. It works by blocking the chemical messengers that cause nausea, vomiting, and loss of balance.

Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's may cause certain side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue (extreme tiredness), nausea, vomiting, nervousness, and irritability. If these side effects persist or get worse, inform your doctor immediately.

It is not recommended to take Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any contents. Before taking Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's, inform your doctor if you have liver/kidney disease, and stomach problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding beforehand. Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's is used in the treatment of motion sickness and vertigo. It contains meclizine (antihistamine) and folic acid. It helps to overcome drowsiness that can be caused by meclizine. Folic acid is used to prevent and treat low folate levels.

What if I have taken an overdose of Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's may include severe drowsiness, seizures, widened pupils, stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea, irritability, confusion, behaviour changes and skin reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

Discontinue taking Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's and inform your doctor if you observe any allergic reactions or have previous allergies to any of the components. Before taking Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's, inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney problems, asthma, glaucoma (inside pressure in the eye), hypertension, stomach problems, hyperthyroidism, and seizures. Avoid taking more than the recommended dose of Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's or for a longer duration. It is advised not to drive or operate machines and alcohol consumption as it can cause dizziness. Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should take Meclisus-SR Tablet 10's only if prescribed by the doctor.

  • Try not to eat food, especially large or spicy meals, just before travelling, as it will reduce your chances of vomiting while travelling.
