About Lyine-OD Capsule

Lyine-OD Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, sexually transmitted infections, and skin infections. Besides this, Lyine-OD Capsule also treats acne-like lesions caused by rosacea.

Lyine-OD Capsule contains Minocycline, which inhibits the protein synthesis required for the growth of the bacterial cell. As a result, bacterial cells are not able to reproduce and grow.

You may experience headache, photosensitivity, dizziness, vomiting, itching, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Lyine-OD Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Before using Lyine-OD Capsule , tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergy to Lyine-OD Capsule , have kidney problems, liver problems, or asthma. Use of Lyine-OD Capsule in pregnant and nursing mothers is not recommended.

What if I have taken an overdose of Lyine-OD Capsule

  • Iron and antacids (like magnesium hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide) may bind to Lyine-OD Capsule in the gastrointestinal tract, lowering its efficiency. So, a gap of at least 2 hours should be maintained between the intake of Lyine-OD Capsule and iron supplements and antacids.
  • Prolonged use of Lyine-OD Capsule during tooth development (pregnancy, infancy, and childhood to the age of 8 years) may cause permanent discolouration of the teeth (yellow-grey-brown).
  • Do not consume alcohol as it may cause excessive drowsiness when taken along with Lyine-OD Capsule .
  • Before using Lyine-OD Capsule , tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergy to Lyine-OD Capsule , have kidney problems, liver problems, or asthma.
  • Use efficient birth control to prevent pregnancy while you are using Lyine-OD Capsule .
  • The use of Lyine-OD Capsule causes antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you have diarrhoea while taking Lyine-OD Capsule .
  • Lyine-OD Capsule may cause sensitive skin to sunlight and ultraviolet rays, causing exaggerated sunburn reactions. Hence, it is advisable to apply sunscreen before going outside.
