Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm is a dermatological combination medicine used to reduce swelling/inflammation, itching and redness caused due to certain fungal skin infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and cause infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm is a combination of two drugs, namely: Fluocinolone acetonide (corticosteroid) and Miconazole (antifungal). Fluocinolone acetonide belongs to the class of corticosteroids that works by preventing the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. On the other hand, Miconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes thereby killing the fungi.

Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm is only for external use. Use Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend how often you use Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm based on your medical condition. Avoid contact of Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm with nose, ears, mouth or eyes. In case Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dry skin, skin peeling, increased hair growth, pimples, patches of pale skin, itching, irritation or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Luxizole Skin Ointment 15 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
