Lovelong Spray

Lovelong Spray is used to produce local numbness (anaesthesia) on the skin before surgical procedures or injections. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, which causes uncomfortable sensations in the body. Pain may be dull or sharp, constant or intermittent, and the tolerance level of pain might vary from person to person.

Lovelong Spray is a combination of amide-type local anaesthetics: Lidocaine and Prilocaine. It blocks the influx (entry) of sodium ions into the membrane surrounding the nerves, thereby preventing the initiation and conduction of impulses. Hence, it gives an anaesthetic effect and helps decrease the sensation of pain.

Use Lovelong Spray as suggested by your doctor. Do not apply it to broken, irritated skin or open wounds unless directed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as reactions at the application site (burning, itching, redness, and irritation). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Before using Lovelong Spray, tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have broken skin/infection in the area where Lovelong Spray is to be applied, heart disease, liver disease, or a certain blood disorder (methemoglobinemia). Inform your doctor before using Lovelong Spray if you plan to get pregnant, are pregnant or breastfeeding. If Lovelong Spray comes in contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina, rinse with water immediately. Do not apply Lovelong Spray on the swollen skin areas or deep puncture wounds. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications before using Lovelong Spray to rule out any side effects.

Lovelong Spray is used to treat the pain (during surgical procedures and injections). The detailed uses of Lovelong Spray are as follows:

• Local Anaesthetic: Lovelong Spray acts as a local anaesthetic, numbing the skin to reduce pain and discomfort during injections or minor surgeries.
• Post-surgical Pain Relief: Lovelong Spray provides post-surgical pain relief by numbing the skin, alleviating localised pain and discomfort after surgery.
• Skin Irritation Management: Lovelong Spray numbs the skin, providing temporary relief from irritation caused by minor burns, insect bites, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and other skin conditions by blocking nerve signals.
• Dermatological Procedures: Lovelong Spray is used before dermatological procedures like laser treatments or chemical peels to numb the skin, reducing pain and discomfort.
• Sexual Activity support: In some cases, Lovelong Spray application can be used to help manage premature ejaculation in men by numbing the area, thus extending sexual activity duration.

• Generally, you may need to use it at home up to 4 hours prior to your surgery/procedure. However, follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety. • Check the directions on the label and use it as advised by the doctor. Your doctor will tell you how much to use and how long to leave it on your skin. Follow these instructions carefully. • Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or plastic wrap unless advised by the doctor.

In some cases, Lovelong Spray can cause fatal side effects such as uneven heartbeats, seizure (convulsions), coma, slowed breathing or respiratory failure (breathing stops), if too much of the medicine is absorbed through the skin. Consult your doctor before using Lovelong Spray if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will prescribe Lovelong Spray only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Lovelong Spray causes drowsiness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Lovelong Spray as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Lovelong Spray may not be suitable for people with a blood disorder, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, kidney or liver problems.
