About Lodens F 10 mg Tablet

Lodens F 10 mg Tablet is indicated in the treatment of hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels), mixed dyslipidemia (low good cholesterol and high bad cholesterol and triglycerides), hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) and hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides).

Lodens F 10 mg Tablet contains Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. Rosuvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver. Fenofibrate works by lowering the level of triglycerides in the blood and bad cholesterol. Together, Lodens F 10 mg Tablet helps treat high cholesterol levels.

In some cases, you may experience nausea, headache, abdominal pain, muscle pain, weakness, and constipation. Most of these side effects of Lodens F 10 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Lodens F 10 mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health conditions and medications to prevent any potential interactions.

Directions for Use

  • Lodens F 10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow Lodens F 10 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.

Medicinal Benefits

  • Lodens F 10 mg Tablet is a combination medicine primarily used to manage abnormal lipid/cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • It helps lower high levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood, which reduces the risk of pancreatitis and cardiovascular disease.
  • Effectively reduces elevated cholesterol levels, especially low-density lipoprotein (LDL or 'bad cholesterol').
  • Balances abnormal lipid profiles by lowering triglycerides and LDL, while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL or 'good cholesterol').
  • It increases the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol in the liver and suppresses the production of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), thereby reducing overall bad cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • Lodens F 10 mg Tablet enhances the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fats in the bloodstream. It also helps reduce uric acid levels by promoting its excretion through urine.
  • It reduces the chances of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart) due to high cholesterol levels.

How Lodens F 10 mg Tablet Works

Lodens F 10 mg Tablet contains Rosuvastatin (statin) and Fenofibrate (fibric acid derivative). Rosuvastatin lowers the levels of raised lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood and increases the good cholesterol (HDL) by blocking the body's production of bad cholesterol. It also improves your body's ability to remove it from your blood. On the other hand, Fenofibrate works by lowering the level of triglycerides in the blood. Together, Lodens F 10 mg Tablet helps treat high cholesterol/lipid levels.

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. • Keep out of sight and reach of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

Here are the steps to manage Joint Pain caused by medication usage:
  • Please inform your doctor about joint pain symptoms, as they may adjust your medication regimen or prescribe additional medications to manage symptoms.
  • Your doctor may prescribe common pain relievers if necessary to treat joint discomfort.

  • Applying heat or cold packs to the affected joint can help reduce pain and inflammation.
  • Please track when joint pain occurs and any factors that may trigger it, and share this information with your doctor to help manage symptoms.
  • If your joint pain is severe or prolonged, consult a doctor to rule out any underlying disorders that may require treatment.
  • Drink water or other clear fluids.

  • Inform Your Doctor: Notify your doctor immediately about your diarrhoea symptoms. This allows them to adjust your medication or provide guidance on managing side effects.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to replace lost water and electrolytes. Choose water, clear broth, and electrolyte-rich drinks. Avoid carbonated or caffeinated beverages to effectively rehydrate your body.
  • Follow a Bland Diet: Eat easy-to-digest foods to help firm up your stool and settle your stomach. Try incorporating bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, plain crackers, and boiled vegetables into your diet.
  • Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of foods that can worsen diarrhoea, such as spicy, fatty, or greasy foods, high-fibre foods, and dairy products (especially if you're lactose intolerant).
  • Practice Good Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. To stay healthy, wash your hands frequently, clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, and avoid exchanging personal belongings with others.

  • Abnormal liver function requires immediate medical attention. Your doctor may recommend lifestyle modifications along with needed medication.
  • Avoid intake of alcohol as it has a direct impact on liver functioning.
