Lixen Pet Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of bacterial infections in children. It is used in treating mild to moderate infections of the nose, ears, skin, throat, urinary tract, and lungs (such as pneumonia and bronchitis) caused by bacteria. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and cause illness. Lixen Pet Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Lixen Pet Syrup contains Cephalexin, an antibiotic belonging to the first-generation cephalosporin class of drugs. It works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. This causes damage to the bacterial cell wall and eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infections. 

Lixen Pet Syrup should be used as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of Lixen Pet Syrup to the child. • Lixen Pet Syrup can be administered with or without food as advised by the doctor.
