About Kolki-Plus Tablet
Kolki-Plus Tablet is used to treat the common cold and alleviate allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and itching. A cold is a contagious upper respiratory infection that affects the nose, throat, sinuses, and windpipe (trachea). It is caused by a virus called Rhinovirus and can be easily spread through airborne transmission (coughing, sneezing), close contact with an infected person, and contaminated surfaces and objects.
Kolki-Plus Tablet consists of four medicines: Ambroxol, Cetirizine, Paracetamol (analgesic and antipyretic), and Phenylephrine (a decongestant). Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that helps loosen mucus in the airways. Cetirizine works by blocking the effects of histamine, a natural chemical in the body involved in allergies. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic that helps relieve pain and reduce fever. Phenylephrine narrows the blood vessels in the nasal passages and relieves nasal congestion.
Your doctor will decide the dosage of Kolki-Plus Tablet based on your medical condition. The common side effects of Kolki-Plus Tablet include nausea, stomach upset, dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth, rhinitis (runny, stuffy nose), diarrhoea, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, and restlessness. Most of these side effects of Kolki-Plus Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.
Before using Kolki-Plus Tablet, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Also, consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It should not be used in children under 6 years of age. Also, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, or heart disease.
