Itza OD 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of the disorders associated with reduced gastrointestinal motility. Besides this, it also treats gastrointestinal disorders like dyspepsia (indigestion), bloating (feeling of stomach tightness due to gas), upper abdominal pain, anorexia (eating disorder), heartburn, nausea and vomiting. Itza OD 150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of disorders associated with reduced gastrointestinal motility. Besides this, Itza OD 150mg Tablet also treats gastrointestinal disorders like dyspepsia (indigestion), bloating (feeling of stomach tightness due to gas), upper abdominal pain, anorexia (eating disorder), heartburn, nausea and vomiting.

Itza OD 150mg Tablet contains 'Itopride,' which works by increasing the level of acetylcholine concentration, which in turn increases the gastrointestinal peristalsis movement, thereby accelerating gastric emptying time and easing the movement of food through the entire gastrointestinal tract.

In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, dry mouth or drowsiness. Most of these side effects of Itza OD 150mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

  • Management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Itza OD 150mg Tablet aids in the treatment of GERD, such as heartburn and acid ingestion, by increasing stomach motility and decreasing the frequency of reflux events.
  • Relief from Nausea and Vomiting: Itza OD 150mg Tablet significantly reduces nausea and vomiting caused by gastroenteritis and chemotherapy, thereby regulating digestive function.
  • Postoperative Gastric Motility Disorders: Itza OD 150mg Tablet can also be used to treat patients who have delayed gastric emptying following surgery.

  • Take Itza OD 150mg Tablet on an empty stomach, preferably 1 hour before food or as advised by the doctor.

  • Avoid taking Itza OD 150mg Tablet if you are allergic to it or any other components present in it.
  • Patients with reduced kidney or liver functions should be monitored carefully, and the dose should be adjusted accordingly.
  • Itza OD 150mg Tablet may be excreted in breast milk. Therefore, breastfeeding or pregnant women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Itza OD 150mg Tablet.
  • If you notice dark, coffee coloured stools or blood in stools, contact your doctor immediately, as these might be signs of bleeding in the stomach.
  • Do not take Itza OD 150mg Tablet if you have increased gastrointestinal haemorrhage (internal bleeding of the intestine and stomach), gastrointestinal motility (movement of food from the mouth through the stomach and intestine), or mechanical perforation or obstruction, as it may worsen the condition.

  • Avoid certain foods such as tomatoes, coffee, chocolate, and spicy and fatty foods as they may cause heartburn or worsen the condition.
  • Eat small portions of food frequently.
  • Do regular exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Maintain a healthy body weight as obesity may also cause heartburn.
