Itolizac 100 mg Injection may also be used to treat autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Itolizac 100 mg Injection is currently being used and trialled to treat cytokine storm (excessive immune response) in COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease-19) patients.

Itolizac 100 mg Injection consists of 'Itolizumab' that is a humanized recombinant IgG1 (Immunoglobulin G1) monoclonal antibody (that serve as a substitute antibody). It works by reducing the synthesis of cytokine, a substance released by the body that initiates an inflammatory response.
