Itec Ear Drop is a combination medicine used to treat ear infections caused by bacteria and fungi. An ear infection occurs when fungi or bacteria affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation. Symptoms of ear infections include ear pain or discomfort, pus or fluid draining from the ear, a feeling of pressure inside the ear, and hearing loss.

Itec Ear Drop contains Chloramphenicol (antibiotic), Clotrimazole (antifungal), and Beclomethasone (steroid). Chloramphenicol kills the bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for the survival of bacteria. Clotrimazole kills the fungi by breaking down the fungal cell wall. Beclomethasone reduces inflammation by blocking the chemical messengers responsible for it. Together, Itec Ear Drop treats infections of the ear.

Itec Ear Drop is for otic use only. You are advised to use Itec Ear Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience some common side effects, such as a burning sensation, irritation, and stinging sensation. Most of these side effects of Itec Ear Drop do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use Itec Ear Drop if you have/had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using Itec Ear Drop if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
