About Igufighter Tablet

Igufighter Tablet is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease (the body's immune system attacks its tissue) which leads to joint pain and damage. It is characterised by loss of joint function, progressive bone destruction, and joint synovitis (inflammation of the joints).
 
Igufighter Tablet contains Iguratimod, which inhibits the production of immunoglobulins and inflammatory cytokines. It inhibits osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption, thereby stimulating bone metabolism. 
 
In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as stomach pain, dizziness, headache, itchiness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Igufighter Tablet should be taken with food to avoid any stomach upset. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite or crush the medicine. You are advised to take Igufighter Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition.

Directions for Use

  • Igufighter Tablet can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may help prevent stomach discomfort.
  • It is usually taken 1-2 times daily, depending on your health condition and as advised by your doctor.

How Igufighter Tablet Works

Igufighter Tablet contains Iguratimod, which inhibits the production of immunoglobulins and inflammatory cytokines. Igufighter Tablet provides relief from pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2, an enzyme that is responsible for pain and inflammation.

Side effects of Igufighter Tablet
  • Eat slowly and chew your food well to avoid swallowing air, which can make stomach pain worse.
  • Instead of going long periods without eating, try having smaller meals or snacks throughout the day to stop too much stomach acid from building up and causing pain.
  • Stay away from fatty, fried, or spicy foods. Instead, eat more healthy, fibre-rich foods.
  • Drink plenty of water to help with digestion and avoid soda or alcohol, which can make stomach pain worse.
  • Try to manage stress with relaxation techniques, and see a doctor if stress leads to chronic stomach pain.
  • Try antacids or medications like proton pump inhibitors to protect your stomach.
  • Skin rash caused by allergies is due to irritants or allergens. Therefore, avoid contact with such irritants.
  • Consult your doctor for proper medication and apply an anti-itch medication. Follow the schedule and use the medication whenever needed.
  • Protect your skin from extreme heat and try to apply wet compresses.
  • Soak in the cool bath, which gives a soothing impact to the affected area.
  • High levels of liver enzymes need immediate medical attention.
  • Watch your diet and consume low-fat foods, like green leafy vegetables, fish, whole grains, nuts, etc.
  • Regularly do strengthening exercises to control your cholesterol levels.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol as it can affect your liver.
  • Focus on losing weight as it can help control cholesterol and maintain liver enzymes.

  • Limit tea, cocoa, and coffee as these can slow iron absorption.
  • Exercise regularly; however, do not overdo it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Igufighter Tablet

Take Igufighter Tablet only as prescribed by the physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. If you suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
