Neuropathic pain is a nervous system disorder caused by damage to sensory nerves. It is caused by chronic progressive nerve disease or due to infection or injury.

Gabapax Ointment is a combination medication that contains capsaicin, gabapentin, ketoprofen, methyl salicylate, and lidocaine. Capsaicin, a natural chili pepper extract, blocks pain messengers to nerves. Gabapentin, an anti-epileptic agent, alters nerve messages to the brain, relieving pain. Ketoprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), blocks chemical substances causing pain and swelling. Methyl salicylate, a topical rubefacient, temporarily relieves muscle or joint pain. Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, blocks nerve signals, numbing the area and providing pain relief.

Gabapax Ointment is for external use only. Take a pea-sized amount onto your fingers and apply it to the affected areas. You are advised to use Gabapax Ointment for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects such as application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and a burning sensation.
