About Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection

Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection belongs to a group of medicines called gonadotropins. It is used to treat infertility in women in the following situations: To stimulate egg release from the ovaries (ovulation) in women who are not ovulating, including those with polycystic ovarian disease and who have not responded to therapy with clomiphene citrate; To aid in developing numerous follicles and thus eggs in women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or other methods of 'assisted conception'. The eggs are then removed from the body and fertilized outside of it. On the other hand, Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection is used to treat infertility in males who have a low sperm count (oligospermia).

Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection contains Follicle Stimulating Hormone and Luteinizing Hormone, which are natural hormones produced in both males and females. They help the reproductive organs to work normally. Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection helps to stimulate follicular growth and ovulation in females and spermatogenesis (formation of sperm cells) in men.

An experienced healthcare professional will administer Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection in a hospital setup. Like all medicines, Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In some cases, Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection may cause reactions at the injection site (such as pain, redness, bruising, swelling and/or itching), overstimulation of the ovaries resulting in high levels of activity (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome), pelvic pain, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting (being sick), diarrhoea, weight gain and pain or swelling of the stomach. Do not use Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection or if you have a tumour in your pituitary gland and you have a tumour in the hypothalamus. Also, if you are a woman, do not use Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection if you have tumours of the womb (uterus), ovaries, breasts or parts of the brain like the pituitary gland or hypothalamus; if you have sacs of fluid known as cysts on your ovaries (ovarian cysts) or enlarged ovaries (unless caused by polycystic ovarian disease), if you have any physical defects of the womb (uterus) or other sexual organs, if you suffer from bleeding from the vagina where the cause is not known if you have fibroids (benign tumours) of the womb (uterus) if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you have experienced early menopause. Also, if you are a man, do not use Folliglan-MG HP 150IU Injection if you have cancer of your testicles and you have prostate cancer. So, let your doctor know about all your medical conditions.
