About Flulen Injection

Flulen Injection is used to treat various bacterial infections affecting the heart wall lining (endocarditis), the protective covering of the brain and spinal cord (meningitis), blood (septicaemia), bones (osteomyelitis), skin and soft tissues, respiratory tract, and urinary tract. It is also used to prevent infections during or after major surgeries such as cardiothoracic (heart and lung) and orthopaedic (bone and joint) operations.

Flulen Injection contains Flucloxacillin sodium, which works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, a process necessary for bacterial survival. As a result, Flulen Injection kills the bacteria and effectively treats various bacterial infections.

A qualified healthcare professional will administer Flulen Injection. Do not self-administer it. You may experience common side effects, including redness and pain at the infusion site, rash, itching, joint pain, hallucinations, anaemia, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor before starting Flulen Injection if you are allergic to penicillin, flucloxacillin sodium, or any other medicines. Let your doctor know if you have had liver or kidney problems or if you have been vaccinated recently. Consult your doctor before receiving Flulen Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
