Flubi Eye Drops

Flubi Eye Drops is used to prevent constriction or narrowing of the eye pupil, treat postoperative eye pain and inflammation, and dry eyes. The detailed uses of Flubi Eye Drops are as follows:

• Postoperative eye pain and inflammation: Flubi Eye Drops is commonly used after cataract or other eye surgeries to reduce swelling and discomfort.
• Prevention of intraoperative miosis: Flubi Eye Drops keeps the pupil from constricting during surgery, aiding visibility for the surgeon.
• Dry eyes: Flubi Eye Drops is used to relieve irritation and dryness.

Flubi Eye Drops contains Flurbiprofen and Hypromellose. Flurbiprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that blocks the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body involved in producing certain chemical substances such as prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, it helps in relieving pain and swelling after eye surgeries. Hypromellose is an eye lubricant that forms a lubricating, transparent, and moistening film on the cornea (surface of the eye) and is used as artificial tears. Thereby, it provides a soothing effect and relieves irritation and dryness caused by decreased tear flow. Also, hypromellose may prevent eye damage in some eye diseases and may also be used in certain eye examinations.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Avoid touching the container tip to prevent contamination.

• Get adequate sleep as resting the muscles can help in reducing inflammation and swelling.
• Eat foods rich in antioxidants such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, dark chocolate, etc.
• Foods containing flavonoids such as soy, berries, broccoli, grapes, and green tea help reduce inflammation.
