Your doctor may prescribe Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule to help manage the following condition:

• Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (MS): Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule is used to reduce the frequency of physical relapses (flare-ups) and help slow down the progression of physical disability in adults and children who meet the age requirements.

When used as directed as part of your treatment plan, Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule may provide the following benefits:

• Reduces relapses: Helps lower the frequency of multiple sclerosis (MS) flare-ups, allowing for longer periods of stable health.
• Slows disability progression: Helps delay the worsening of physical disability, supporting mobility and independence in daily activities.
• Protects the nervous system: Helps reduce the formation of new inflammatory lesions in the brain and spinal cord, which are associated with MS disease activity.
• Supports long-term disease management: When taken regularly, it helps control ongoing immune system activity that contributes to relapsing forms of MS.

• Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule can be taken with or without food, or as advised by your doctor.
• Generally, it is recommended to be taken once daily. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and timing for optimal results.
• Swallow Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule.

• Avoid Overheating: High body temperatures can temporarily worsen your MS symptoms. Stay in air-conditioned environments on hot days, avoid very hot baths, and wear cooling vests if you need to be outside.
• Practice Infection Prevention: Since Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule lowers your white blood cell count, you are more prone to infections. Wash your hands frequently, avoid close contact with people who are actively sick, and make sure all your food is thoroughly cooked.
• Protect Your Skin: This medication can increase your sensitivity to sunlight and raise the risk of skin cancer. Always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and avoid UV tanning beds.
• Support Your Liver: Eat a nutrient-dense, balanced diet and limit your intake of processed foods to support your liver, which processes this medication.

• First-Dose Monitoring: Plan to spend at least 6 hours at your doctor's office or clinic for your first dose so your heart rate can be closely monitored.
• Keep Doctor Appointments: You will need regular blood tests to check your liver function and complete eye exams to monitor your vision while taking this medicine.
• Do Not Abruptly Stop: Stopping Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule can cause your MS symptoms to return and sometimes become worse than before. Never stop treatment without your doctor's guidance.
• Report Eye Changes: Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any changes in your vision, especially during the first 3 to 4 months of starting treatment.
• Avoid Live Vaccines: Do not receive any live vaccines during treatment and for at least 2 months after stopping Fingomod 0.5mg Capsule.
