It may also relieve sore throat by providing a numbing effect. Chlorpheniramine maleate relieves allergy/cold symptoms such as watery eyes, itching, runny nose, and sneezing by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called histamine. Phenylephrine provides relief from congestion and stuffy nose by narrowing the blood vessels in the nose. Together, FIFTY 50 DROPS provides relief from cough and cold.
