Epilepsy is a sudden rush of electricity in the brain. In patients with seizures, the typical brain electrical pattern is disrupted by sudden bursts of electrical impulses that affect an individual's consciousness, movements or sensations.

Epiford 500 CR Tablet is a combination of Sodium valproate and Valproic acid. Epiford 500 CR Tablet works by decreasing the excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain. Thereby helps in controlling seizures.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, sleepiness, drowsiness, impaired coordination, apathy (lack of interest), irregular periods and weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Avoid taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet if you are allergic to it. Do not take Epiford 500 CR Tablet if you are pregnant, as it could cause serious congenital disabilities. • Migraine Prevention: Epiford 500 CR Tablet may also be prescribed to prevent migraines, providing relief from recurrent headaches.

• Take Epiford 500 CR Tablet with food to avoid stomach upset or as advised by a doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.
