Epiford 500 CR Tablet is primarily used to treat epilepsy/seizures/fits. Additionally, Epiford 500 CR Tablet is also used to treat mood disorders and migraine. Epilepsy is a sudden rush of electricity in the brain. In patients with seizures, the typical brain electrical pattern is disrupted by sudden bursts of electrical impulses that affect an individual's consciousness, movements or sensations.

Epiford 500 CR Tablet is a combination of Sodium valproate and Valproic acid. Epiford 500 CR Tablet works by decreasing the excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain. Thereby helps in controlling seizures.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, sleepiness, drowsiness, impaired coordination, apathy (lack of interest), irregular periods and weight gain. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Avoid taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet if you are allergic to it. Do not take Epiford 500 CR Tablet if you are pregnant, as it could cause serious congenital disabilities. • Seizure Management: Epiford 500 CR Tablet is primarily used to manage various types of seizures in individuals with epilepsy, helping to stabilise electrical activity in the brain.
• Bipolar Disorder Treatment: Epiford 500 CR Tablet can be utilized in the treatment of bipolar disorder, aiding in mood stabilization and reducing the frequency of mood swings.
• Migraine Prevention: Epiford 500 CR Tablet may also be prescribed to prevent migraines, providing relief from recurrent headaches.

• Take Epiford 500 CR Tablet with food to avoid stomach upset or as advised by a doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Epiford 500 CR Tablet is a combination of two drugs, namely: Sodium valproate and Valproic acid.

• Talk to your doctor if you experience weakness, loss of appetite, lack of interest, recurrence or worsening of seizures, prolonged bleeding or abdominal pain while taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies while taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet.
• Please do not stop taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet without consulting your doctor to avoid the worsening of seizures.
• Do not take Epiford 500 CR Tablet if you are pregnant, as it could cause serious birth defects. If you are of child-bearing age, use effective contraception while taking Epiford 500 CR Tablet.
